Lisa's Story
Life
At the time of this writing,Sept 2009, I am married 11+ years to Martin...my daughter Erica is 20 and working full time, with a medical assistant certificate...and my daughter Emily is 18 and attending Olivet College ..my stepkids are out of the house now,Sarah is 23, has 2 daughters, and is in TN where her mom lives,Jeremy is in TN since November 2003 and has a girlfriend and a son there who just turned 1...(my husband I have adopted a daughter who is 6, that he had with a different girlfriend. We've had her most of her life, but full time since just after her 2nd birthday)...my stepson Mike was in the Army and hurt in Iraq, has now moved back to Michigan and has a great girlfriend...Bobby married a woman about 15 yrs his senior, 3 years ago, and they live near St.Johns...and Marty lives in Vermontville with his wife their son Jacob and young daughter McKenzie. School
I attended Olivet schools from kindergarten thru graduation.I was rather quiet in school,made good grades,and stayed on the Honor Roll each year. Once I turned 16 I worked co-op and went to school the other half the day.Following graduation I began working full time.
Workplace
I worked 2 weeks short of 11 years for a large insurance company called Cigna.In September 2006 I was let go due to some cutbacks locally. I drew my unemployment until it ran out, then went to work at Quality Dairy for a short time, later quitting to do day care at home and take care of Jorden.Prior to this I had done a variety of things including working in 2 banks,being a home health aide,running a daycare in my home,and cashiering.
