Lisa's Story
Life
I joined the Navy in 1980, right out of school. I met and married a Marine in Japan, had my son,Ryan, sepparated, moved back to Wa. Had another child, a daughter,Lauren. Divorced. In 88 Married a Naval officer. We were stationed in Bremerton, and Wa.DC, He retired in 98. We went back to Wa. lasted 2 years and moved to small town NE. He is ceo of a 14 bed critical access hospital. I work part-time, in Pharmacy and clinic. The rest of the time I'm a stay at home mom. My youngest, is Stephanie and she is 11. We would eventually like to live in N. Carolina, but it won't be for a few years. I love my house, it was built in 1903, and since we've moved in we have been trying to remodel. That is our present project.

. Corps school, nothing like partying all night then going to class with a hang over... anyone remember mandatory study hall!?? Class of 007, 1981. My first duty satation took me back home, what a drag! Sand Point, Wa., I miss the first real man I fell in love with, just in time to go overseas! Hello Yokosuka! Man, did I love taking care of all the hunky Marines on bedrest, and in traction! I love Japan, I hope to go back someday. I had my first born over there... Great times. After Jan 1985, I joined the good old reserves, stayed in til the gulf war, 1991, I remember this because, my husband was in Saudi, and I just had my third child. It was a stresfull time, but looking back, I kind of miss the old unit, I could have retired with a few of my friends, but, it all worked out, I'm still a dependant of a retiree!!
