Lisa's Story
Life
I worked nightshift as a RN in a Coronary Care Unit. I've been a nurse for 20 years now. My husband, Lee is a RN and is in the ARMY Reserves. He's had 2 deployments, one to Iraq and one to Afghanistan. Our 3 kids are grown. Two grandchildren!!!- They are awesome. We have 5 dogs, 3 cats, 3 turtles and at any given time, are fostering several dogs for the National Brussels Griffon Rescue.
After leaving high school I moved to Las Vegas, NV, where I worked as a studio photographer. I lived there in Vegas for about 3 years then gradually made my way to Lake Havasu City, Arizona until 1991 when I moved back to Pensacola. I liked it out west, but due to some unfortunate circumstances I had to come back. Anyway, upon returning I entered Nursing School and got my nursing degree. I was part of the last group to take the 2 day long written state boards! But that is just a bad memory now.
I reluctantly moved to Florida in 1979 from Williamsburg, Va. (I have many fond memories from that period of life). None the less, at 14, I didn't have much...Expand for more
of a choice but to. Dad was in the Navy - and that is what brought us to FL where our family made it a permanent move. I love the beaches here on the Emerald Coast. They are amazingly beautiful. Atlantic and Pacific beaches just don't compare.
I'm a University of Tennessee fan!
A University of Pitt fan - by marriage and as long as they are not playing UT!
A Pittsburgh Steeler fan
I'm a night owl. Awake for sunrise is a habit I just cant break. Now if I only lived on the edge of some glorious scenery - it would be a nicer experience.
I like to write. I write poetry, philosophy and songs. Like to read. Like to draw and am resuming painting. I love visiting National and State Parks. I have traveled the US lower 48, well not to ALL of the lower 48 states, but here and there when the opportunity has presented. I hope to get to Glacier National Park before the glaciers melt. I have a "second home" in Colorado Springs, Co - I love it there. I don't actually own a home there, but like to spend time there.
I have been/am blessed in this life.
