Lisa's Story
I left Tempe for Tucson (UofA) and majored in Flute performance with a flute scholarship, then got bored basically of being in the basement of the music bldg. & auditioned into the vocal dept. where I was luckily awarded a vocal scholarship and began studying Music Theatre...go figure right? Remember Fiddler on the Roof from our senior year? anyway...got disillusioned with that cosmetic rat race of auditioning and type-casting and wanted to do more with my musical talents. Left UofA before my Senior yr., married briefly and we traveled & lived in Europe for 3 yrs. Upon that disolving, I enrolled at ASU & at 28 began studying to become a Music Therapist. Nobody told me no one knew what that was! LOL!
I interned at a major hospital in Cleveland...Expand for more
, came & live in Scottsdale and have a very successful business contracting many therapists Valley-wide. My co. is "Creative Arts Therapy Services, Inc." I have been married for 30 yrs, have identical twin daughters (both extroverted musical drama-artist types & no unfortunately they don't have red hair), I am a seasoned grant writer & gourmet cook. I speak passable Spanish and marginal German. (FYI Mr. Sola's grandchildren went to the same JrHS as my girls), small world.
Looking forward to dancing to disco again and seeing the whole gang. Wonder how many of us are Grandparents? That ought to be an official award for the most. Glad to be a 1978 McClintock Grad when we took state! Whatever happened to Ron Washington anyway? What a year it was.
