Lisa's Story
Life
I've been teaching art for the past 15 years; I started at Providence-St.Mel School in Chicago and after five years moved to Morton East High School in Cicero. I love high school kids but am quickly tiring of the politics and administrative nonsense. I try to do my own art but it's hard to find the creative energy. I paint murals for people in thier homes and have shown my paintings a few times. I never had kids but I am a dog loving freak, currently I own a female bullmastiff. bbed 124 year old Victorian, we are "urban pioneers." There are no funky coffee shops or groovy nightclubs in the neighborhood but there is a "Rib Palace" and a couple good soul food kitchens, one written up by Obama in "The Audacity of Hope" as his fav! I love my neighbors and my house and am proud of my garden, it sounds so old lady to say so but I do.
I keep in touch regularly with Donna Zboril, Jennifer Guiheen and Heather Heinlein. On occasion I hear from Julie Hull and Cindy Pelletierre...all aforementioned are doing great and I feel lucky to still be friends with them.
