Lisa's Story
Life
My Spouse
I met my husband while working on a design project (he was my marble-guy). We got along great and flirted back and forth for a long while (I was in a long-term relationship and he was in a bad marriage at the time). We grew closer and our respective relationships ended (the story is longer than that, but I'll keep it brief). We dated for about 3 yrs (thru his divorce, etc), then broke up for a year. We each met other people (and even got engaged to them!),but still had eachother in our hearts (sound sappy?). We got back together and were married 10 months later. We will celebrate our 8th anniversary in October, and life is great!
My Pets
We have two dogs: a "Houndesian" (Rodesian Ridgeback/Hound Dog mix)named Harley that we rescued from a shelter and a "Speagle" (Cavalier Spaniel/Beagle mix)named Missy. We also two cats: ...Expand for more
a tortoise shell short hair named Sable and a classic tabby named Boomer. These are our "kids".
My Kids
I have a 19 year old step-son named Matthew. He's spent the last seven years in Minnesota with his mother and step-father (that was tough). He recently joined the Marine Corps and is currently stationed at Camp Pendleton, so we get to see a lot more of him now. He's a great guy, and it's funny to see the looks on people's faces before they find out he's my "step"-son.
My Job
I'm a certified interior designer and I've been working for the same firm for twelve years now (yikes!). We specialize in very hi-end residential design (our clients are the royal family of Sauid Arabia). Along with that, I also design and manufacture custom furniture and antique reproductions for sale to the interior design trade in showrooms across the country.
