Lisa's Story
After FC I waitressed for awhile as I went to college part-time. I finally got serious about college and attended Eastern Kentucky University for one year. Over that summer I began working for LifeSpring Mental Health so I transferred to University of Louisville. I graduated from UofL with a degree in Psychology and an emphasis on Criminal Justice.
I married my husband, Paul, in 1994. We have a home on the farm I grew up on. My parents live next door and I feel blessed to be able to be so close to them.
Paul and I have 2 sons. Michael is a freshman at FC and Anthony is in 7th grade at Highland Hills. They are amazing young men! They are far better students then I ever was....
I have worked with a variety of populations in the Social Services field; adult chronc mentally ill, adults with severe and profound disabilities, juveniles removed from...Expand for more
their homes, child cares, and ALL types when I was with the Dept of Child Services!! My absolute favorite population is the children and teens!
I am currently the Forensic Interviewer for the Comfort House Child Advocacy Center.. I interview alleged victims of physical and sexual abuse. I also teach a Body Safety Program for grades Pre-School thru 6th grade in the Harrison County Schools. That is a hoot!!
Without a doubt my greatest joy is my two sons!! I think it is an honor and a pleasure to be their mom! As a family we enjoy football, camping, cooking, movies and just being together. We live a very simple life... We always need more money, a bigger house and more free time....
But we are always very grateful for the blessings we have!!! I hope anyone who reads this is doing well with good health, a person to love and gracious heart! Lisa
