Lisa's Story
Life
Well it's been 30 years since high school. That would be a lot of ground to cover.
I got married in 1980. I have been married to the same great guy for 27 years.We are members of the LDS church. We have 6 amazing children. They are 14(boy),17(boy),20(girl),22(boy),24(boy)and 26(girl).One of our children is married (2 years). Two of our boys have served missions. The oldest 2 have junior college degrees. one of our sons is an Eagle Scout. They are all musicians.
We live in West Sacramento, CA. I have been a stay at home mom for most of that time. Which really means I was almost never home. I have been the classroom mom, ...Expand for more
band mom, team mom, etc. You get the idea.
In 1997 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. In 2003 my disease had progressed enough for me to have to stop most of my volunteer work. At this time the teacher I was working for took her nephew in and needed a babysitter. Well with my experience I offered to do that for her. He has been great. He has helped me stay happy in spite of being ill. He starts kindergarten this fall.
In July I became a grandma for the first time. It is a wonderful feeling to sit and hold my grandson. I will get to babysit him when his mommy goes back to work. Let's hear it for being a grandma.
