Hello everyone!
I just learned that having a bio will really help to link me to more "missing" friends so here goes: I grew up in Upland, CA. and attended school there (UHS 1984 grad). Then, I went off to San Diego State University, graduating in 1990. I spent a year studying abroad in Heidelberg (1988-1989) which enabled me to earn a degree in German. Then I got my first "real" job at Lufthansa German Airlines in Los Angeles/El Segundo in reservations, LAXGR, from Nov. 1990 thru 1996. I had a blast with my co-workers and the travel benefits, at that time, were great. My favorite place to visit was Tahiti, Moorea specifically. n Fullerton. I was there through 2001, but after Sept. 11, they laid me and two others off in Jan., 2002.
So, that's when I changed my career path 180 degrees and went back to school, where I just finished my Master's in Exercise Physiology from Cal Poly Pomona. It took me longer than I thought it would, but, thank goodness for my parents who supported me 100%! Since I just finished, I'm not exactly sure which direction my career will go. I am taking the CBEST to broaden my potential job options. Ultimately, my goal is to find a position, possibly in a clinical setting or in a corporate fitness setting, (or teaching?).
On a personal note, I'm not married, no kids, just two sweet dogs and a bird and a couple of goldfish.
