Lisa's Story
Life
Oh my - there is absolutely NO-Way I can possibly put into 4000 characters what I have done with my life and who I am NOW..
I can tell you I have lived like I am dying, loved (1) like I have never been heart-broke, and danced like no one is looking.
I choose to take the road less traveled, always have, and quite sure I always will. Anything worth having or doing in this beautiful world - is never easy....
I truly love life - through all it's up's and downs - I look at them like it's all apart of the journey that we individually must travel to become the person that we are today.
I left Garden City, after growing up there my entire life, when I was almost 16, I could have choked my parents at the time. I was in Garden City High - "home of the buffs" Woohoo!!! - when I was drug to "Liberal - where I attended Liberal High, and graduated my senior year 1982.
I attended Abe Hubert Jr High, this was prior to the building of "KH" - my freshman year I was suppose to go to KH, as I lived on 7th street, right off of Mary - Shelly Hauff lived north of me = we kept our horses together.
Anyway, I continued my last year at Abe Hubert, I was cheerleader, volleyball, track. Maraline Marker was one of my dearest friends at the time of my leaving, although I like to think I had allot of friends - ( think of you all so often...)
I dated or (went steady, LOL - I think that is what we called it??) Mitch Keller - I remember he was quarter back of our football team - how are you Mitch? And Mike?
There is so much to tell you all since I have left GC - but I am going to try and give you a "good brief overview"!
I have 3 of the most amazing children - I have and am still amazed and find myself in awe of the wonderful adults and (1) parent.
My oldest daughter is married, she has two girls ages 3 and 4 - there will never be enough words in this world for me to describe to you how wonderful, precious, God-given little gifts I have been blessed with. She also has a Son th...Expand for more
rough marriage - however he is "ours" - my grandson - I'm so proud!!!
And she is pregnant and due in November - Again - never enough words to say how blessed I have truly been in my life.
I have another daughter that is 20 years old and in her 3rd year of college - she is a UT in Dallas - major -Marine Biology...
I wished I had half her brain - and her looks, well she is even prettier than her MOM - (wink) she is beautiful, as are all my Kids.
I have only one Son - he just had his 19th birthday and is heading for his second year of college - he will be leaving for K-state soon - Go Wildcats....
Now that you know my greatest loves and accomplishments - I will try to update with pictures soon.
I am a mountain girl at heart. I love the outdoors more than any place in the world - (mountains being my favorite of course) I love to ski, water and snow, snow mobile, hunt - mainly bird, shot my first tom turkey 2 years ago... Wow - what a blast...
I love the lake, camping fishing, tubing, need to try wake boarding soon. I don't know if you all will remember or not, but my family had a boat store in Garden City, and we also owned the Marina at Cedar Bluff Lake - so I lived there durring the summers.
I love to 4-wheele, rather it is on a 4wheeler or a bad ass 4x4, I had a jeep sahara all tricked out - "99", she was sweet, coil spring suspension - crawled like a mountain cat - she great at Moab in Utah, and leadville Colorado.
I may sound like a tomboy and yet a big kid - I will tell you straight up - I am both, and I am going to keep playing hard until I'm 6'under...
However, I am very much of a lady still - I love to dress up and go out for a night on the town, rather it is simply for dinner and dancing or preforming arts in the Cities.
My Father was strict and I come for the "old school" - I believe in integrity, honesty and Honor - I shouldn't have to explain any of these gang.... LOL A man is only as good as his word..
I still love to laugh and love to mak
