Lisa's Story
Life
Married, two kids, two cats, dog, job, bills, friends, family....
After graduation, I quickly ran from Santa Cruz and moved to Seattle. Despite being a grunge music scene fanatic, I graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Sociology. I soon learned sociology fit my ideals but didnÂt pay the bills and ended up as a Securities Broker. A few years into it I realized I had too much California love in my system to be a Trump wanna-be and my disillusionment lead me to a better philosophical fit as a Financial Educator with a large Credit Union.
It was at this time I met a really nice guy named David, a.k.a. Darby. I realized IÂd be foolish to let him get away and not-so-soon convinced him to marry me. After a few years of wedded bliss and livin...Expand for more
g in Seattle for 14 years, my cravings for the sun couldnÂt be suppressed any longer; I convinced Darby we needed to move to California.
We landed in Santa Cruz in 2000 and the day after we moved, I found out I was pregnant. Even with my growing belly, I was able to find a position with the County where I continue to work hard every day. Working with children has been so much fun that Darby and I could resist expanding the family further and now we total four, headed of course by the rulers of our world, our two rambunctious children.
