Liz's Story
Life
Hi everyone!!! Been a long time. Life is good ...I am no longer single. I married my girlfriend last Oct, when it was legal. It's kind of awkward being one of those couples who legally are married.....when your brothers and sisters who have not married, are still fighting for the right. It almost feels like you have left them behind....but then again you are proud to be of the group who are married.
Anyhow, I am still delivering mail...but i am no longer in Mill Valley. I moved up to Sac Town about 4 years ago. Then I moved to Grass Valley where we were renting a house. We got evicted from there because the daughter of the owner needed the house back when her job transferred. So we decided that was enough of that ! We actually went out and bought a house right before the economy started falling apart. Whew! We had to scratch and beg to get an FHA loan last minute like that. But with all of that settled we are finally calming down and relaxing in OUR house. Who knew it would take me/us so long to grow up...you know become responsible adults....LOL
Life is nice and q...Expand for more
uiet and all we have to worry about are our furkids(4 cats). They keep us plenty entertained.
My wife is a drummer in a local band up here. She also works at the Chapa-De Indian Health Clinic. She is the facilities manager there in Grass Valley. She also pulls in a little extra cash when she performs (she plays guitar and sings) at local social events. In any spare time she has left over she is a DJ for weddings, private parties and CLASS REUNIONS (hint hint).
When I am not working, I basically take care of the house. I am currently fixing up our guest bedroom / bathroom and home disco. LOL It's basically my wife's music room, and a disco when we have a party or something. In the winter, when remodeling is not fun...hehe I have my own hobby of building WWII models. It's a nice calm hobby, good for winding down after a long day at work.
So that's my life right now. In the words of David Byrne...."And the days go by...." until something else comes to mind. But life is good !
I look forward to seeing you all soon.I'll keep an eye out for reunion news.
