Liz's Story
Elizabeth Ann (Legg) Jepsen, age 43, a loving mother, wife and daughter, died November 18, 2009, at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital, Auburn, CA. Elizabeth's seven year battle with cancer ended peacefully.
Elizabeth was born March 7, 1966 in Seattle, WA to Edwin and Sharon Legg. She attended grade school, junior high and graduated from Carson High School in 1984, Carson City, NV.
She attended the University of Nevada Reno for one year and completed her education at Schiller University, Heidelberg, Germany with a BA in International Business.

Elizabeth enjoyed camping and the outdoors, and volunteered many hours in support of those interests. She was a volunteer in the construction of the Tahoe Rim Trail, and was a fire lookout for the US Forest Service and CDF/CalFire. She coordinated the staffing and improvements of lookout towers in both Placer and Nevada County. Despite the increasing difficulties of her ongoing battle with cancer, Elizabeth worked as part of the CalFire Media Center team at the Auburn Headquarters during the 49 Fire and Yuba Fire, comforting those whose homes were endangered.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Thomas Arthur Jepsen and their son David Christian Jepsen, her mother Sharon Legg, Auburn, CA and brother James Legg (Robbie Legg) New Iberia, LA. She is proceeded in death by her father Edwin Legg.
