Life After teaching high school journalism for nearly 21 years, I went to work for a yearbook company. I visited yearbook advisers in SE Missouri, as well as a few counties in Illinois and Arkansas. I'm now out of the yearbook room. In 2004 I earned REALTOR and broker state licenses, and I recently opened my own real estate company, Riverbend Realty. (Google my webpage at lockhartlegacy .com.) I went to college in Arkansas, and I managed to get back into the state of Missouri (just barely) to pursue a career! My husband retired from teaching vocational industrial technology. Even after I left teaching, I often accompanied him when he took his students to state and national conferences and competitions.
