Liz's Story

I used to live in Magalia just a bit above Paradise and after 6 hours trapped by the Camp Fire we (Erin the neighbor who woke me up just in time) made it to Williams where my son had a room and beer and cookies . After a few days of registering and stuff we ended up with another son in Berkeley... now I am temporarily in Monclair. Everything was lost. Some family members have sifted through the ashes and recovered some memories. I had good insurance as far as replacing things and living for a year. Friends have been very generous but I can’t seem to get myself moving to even replace more clothes. I’m not quite ready to furnish an apt For now I think it’s easier to liv...Expand for more
e somewhere furnished. I have realized that 81 years is probably. Impossible to replace. So this is my life now and below is my life before last November. AND IF THINGS HERE ARE JUMBLED ITS CUZ MY IPAD IS VERY CRANKY I live in Magalia which as we like to say here is "just a bit above Paradise" which is east of Chico. There are lots and lots of trees. We pretty much have four seasons. The traffic is so much better than the Bay Area and the people far less stressed. The biggest store in town is K-Mart. I am divorced. I have 3 kids in the Bay Area and go back and forth fairly often. I lived in Berkeley most of my adult life and have been a cop and an emergency room nurse.
