Liz's Story

HEY all ya'll ( yeah, I moved south). THANX to all that have visited my site, either intentionally or not, and my apologies for not responding. I landed here just out of curiousity while exploring the web. They keep wanting me to be a gold member so I can get to the good stuff, but the way I see it is as follows: I spent nearly every hour of every school day wishing I was somewhere else and devising alternate ways to get out of there, soooooooooo, why would I pay someone to let me back in?! :o) It seems that as we all look in the mirror and can't believe that we really are older than we think we should be, we inevitably look back. OK cool, that's where I'm at. It's actually quite amusing. Anyway, in a short version, I have spent the majority of my adult life traveling around east of the Missisippi w/ mostly race and some show horses. First as a groom/rider and then a trainer. I have recently retired from that profession as Not only can't I travel extensively, but I no longer bounce very well at all (some broken body parts). I had my only child in 1995, Jonathan (not the brat my mother had wished on me)who is the light of my life and where most of my attention is today. I still keep semi active with horses with the 4H and some local shows, and of course keeping up with my little farm. Also I and am HAPPILY, thank you, divorced and single. B...Expand for more
est to everyone from the hometown and school where I grew up, It's part of who I am and the memories are great. :o) I always wanted to be a horse trainer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a not so lucrative idea. As it turns out, they were well, not quite right on. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have reliable transportation, lunch, and someone to be with my kid to be able to deal with the day-to-day. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my dad, because he ain't here. obsessions: MY SON, Good working horses no matter their discpline. who needs reality on TV? give me pure fantasy to watch. I learned from my kid that I should have been more respectful to my mom. If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to reliable charities, then spend the rest on family, paying off the bills and puttin' my feet up. My current age is 50. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be 999999999. I was so completely young. I share my home with my son and 2 dogs, which I find heavenly. My victories: Won lots of horse races including a couple stake races and quite a few local 3 day events, but no Kentucky Derby (such is life). Retrained many ex-race horses for new jobs and homes. Gave birth to a great person. :o) In 10 years, I hope to be alive. I'm going to get there by tying on.
