Lloyd's Story
I was one of the very few students at Malvern ('54-'59) who rode a motorcycle. If memory serves, Steve Hayward was the only other at the time. I also worked part time at the theatre on Kingston Rd (between Beach and Victoria Pk). After leaving school Jun '59, I had a couple of jobs, and in Dec '59 I joined Bell Telephone, where I stayed until Dec 24,'67. In Jan '68 I went to work for BCTel, in Prince George BC (3000mi from Malvern).

ll at work (in Prince George), and my boss rounded the corner with another fellow in tow. The fellow stopped, looked at me and said 'I know you, you went to Malvern.' It was Mike Strachan (class of '57). Mike ended up being in charge of our department, although he worked in Vancouver. I worked in Kamloops and Kelowna for BCTel, until I retired, in 1995. Now, I work one month a year for wages. This year I start Nov 28, and I always finish on Dec 24.
