Lois's Story
Life
I just re-read my profile, and since I said "I don't feel 54," and will turn 62 in August, I guess it's time for an update!! I am now a secretary for a chemical workers union council, and have been there for six years. Not the most exciting work I've ever done, but I enjoy it...like the people...and hope to stay there till I retire (within a few years...PLEASE, DEAR GOD!!) After hours, I keep busy as a menopausal super hero, called "Hot Flash!" (I have attitude and I know how to use it!!) Then when I retire, I want to complete the novel I've been working on for several years (of course, I also want to strip George Clooney naked and have my way with him...at least twice), so we'll just have to wait and see what color the sky is in my world when I retire!! I am still very interested in writing, having co-written a "h...Expand for more
umorous" adaptation of HANSEL & GRETEL, which has been presented at Weathervane Theater and Stow Players. I've also done some stand-up comedy in the past (I love slightly bawdy comedy, but not gross or terribly obscene). While working at Weathervane Theater, I ran into Ralph Cooley, another of our classmates (I played his wife in Weathervane's production of "On Borrowed Time." I played an 80-year old woman, and got to have a "death scene" at the end of the first act). Ralph is a wonderful actor, and we have become fast friends. I also adore animals, and if money were no object, would love to own/operate an animal sanctuary (again...see statement above regarding the color of the sky in my world)!! I'd love to get in touch with other classmates; so if you're interested in rekindling some old memories, please drop me a line!
