Lois Ross:  

Life After graduating from Towson in 1968, I worked in Baltimore one year before moving to San Francisco, where I lived for 3 years. In San Francisco I attended grad school, worked at several interesting jobs,then started an astrology business with some friends. During that time I discovered the great state of Oregon, where I have been based, mostly, since 1973. I temporarily moved back to Maryland 1980-81 (and taught German in Frederick), but realized that the West is where I felt most comfortable. In 1997 I was offered a job in Milan, Italy, eventually accepted it, then lived and worked in Milan and Rome, Italy, 1998-99. I have traveled to Italy 22 times and studied at the Universita' Per Stranieri in Perugia in 1993. In my travels and stays in Italy I have made many friends there, many of them non-English speakers. Because of my interest and skill in the Italian language, I've been lucky enough to meet incredible people -- artists, writers, professors, business owners, doctors, movie stars, scientists, designers, and people in all walks of life, all over Italy.
