Life
Hello Walsh HS buddies & friends. Here I am, survived Wilma by escaping to Tennessee and best friends new home. I have 2 great young adults, both have careers at a University. Daughter, Dir. of Development, Sch. of Vet. Med. Son in Science on Tenure Track, 80% research 2% teaching, each gave me a grandson, one of whom I will meet shortly. He is 4 wks. old.
I'm a fitness instructor and have been for almost 3 yrs. Love to walk, jog and talk. After all the yearbook said "gift of gab." Some of my friends call me "the eye of the storm." After 36 yrs. of marriage (sort of) I got divorced on June 1st, my idea and a goodie. Don't know how long I stay down here in the tropics now that my kids live in the same town. to time, continue working in fitness and play a better game of golf. Took early retirement from Rutgers, Cook Campus, when McCheesy said "Lois, take a buy-out" I said "yes, Jim" and the rest is history. This time of year is nice down here and Florida deserve it after the summer we had. Vow never to stay her during another hurricane, last yr. was enough. I cover all my windows with metal, neighbors cover the sliders and cathedral not because I can't climb that high just because I won't climb that high on a ladder. Lovely people live in Florida. Got to see Autumn in Tennessee, yippee! Miss Autumn, Spring and a snow covered yard. Have a 3 yr. old home here with solid cement walls, still not staying here during a hurricane; give me an old fashioned blizzary any day. Lois Devine Finneran
