Lois's Story
Hi everyone, as the saying goes life's a journey, here's mine in a nutshell. After Bogota I attended Fairleigh Dickinson/Teaneck for a two year degree in secretarial studies. Then worked at a couple of jobs for a few years, had some fun, dated, lived at home, what could be better. Then Judy Hummel (now Sforza) introduced me to her bridge partner while she was at Douglass and he was at Rutgers, a young marine just back from Viet Nam, Bill. We married in June 1970, had a son the next year, Andrew (another Cook College/Rutgers graduate and still working there), moved to upstate Connecticut for Bill's job and where our son Joseph was born, then on to upstate NY for a very short time and back to NJ. nd an art school. He graduated from the Mason Gross School of Arts at RU with a BFA degree. He's currently still trying to find his career path!
Bill is from the New Brunswick/Highland Park/Piscataway area better known as Central Jersey and that's where I'm at. Both my sons are married to great girls and Andy has two children, Ryan (8) and Reese(4). Grandchildren are so special.
Unfortunately in August 2007, my brother, Bill Greiner, died after undergoing extensive cancer treatments, he was only 63. Even more unfortunately, my Bill died in December 2007 of a massive heart attack, he was only 62. Needless to say I've been trying to get my life back. I was just about there when I was laid off in March from a job I had held for 28 years. Life's a journey!
