Lois's Story
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thoughtI wuld too. As it turns out, they were right. I am an underemployed preschool teacher. This is what happens when you start college, run out of money, join the USAF, get married, see the world before the internet colleges so you can't finish your degree, raise three kids, move close to Mom and Dad and your alma mater only to have them tell you they want you to start over. I've taught close to three hundred preschoolers how to read and taken 2 1/2 years of college and noone will hire me because Ohio State didn'...Expand for more
t offer Ascociate degrees in the seventies. They were a University. My daughter took the same courses in 2000 and they gave her a degree, but mine doesn't count. I am glad friendship is not related to college degrees. I have lived everywhere for a little bit it seems. Now I live in Newark, Ohio with my youngest and my retired husband of 33 years, and some assorted creatures. In spite of this, I get to spend time with my favorite people, those who are still shorter than me, and I still have my family. Life could only be slightly better. anybody need a really good preschool teacher?
