Life I have always lived in Saskatchewan, mostly Saskatoon and Big River. Most of my childrearing years were spent in the forest near Big River, where my partner and I built our own house and lived without Sask power or running water, and heated only with wood. I home-schooled my 4 kids,3 girls and a boy, until they decided they wanted to go to school and they spent most of their early years exploring the forest around them, with other home-schooled kids in the neighbourhood. They had horses to ride and chores to do and learned about the simple life and a world of art and music . Although I have never found my artistic medium or learned to play an instrument, I was always part of a community of artists and musicians, and my kids and grandkids (of which I have 5) are still part of that community.
