Lois's Story
Life
Back in high school, when we were a captive audience, I decided to become a teacher and invest time in teenagers, to maximize their time, so it wouldn't be wasted like a lot of ours was! So, now I am a high school English teacher, and I love it. I met my husband Rich at college in Wheaton, IL, and we were married in 1973. We have five great kids, now ages 22 to 27 (includes one set of twins). We've enjoyed spending time together, doing things like skiing, soccer, singing, and traveling. t me are computer nerds -- although I'm working on it. I still play the piano. My high school French, Spanish, and English history have been put to good use with my students. They can hardly believe I used to be in the fencing club!! Other interesting stuff I've done is wedding cakes, driving cross-country a few times with my kids, homeschooling for a few years, and getting together with my British pen-pal that I've had since 1963. Life has had its ups and downs, hasn't it? Hey, stay in touch once in a while. :)
