Lois's Story
Graduated from NYU and became a med tech/ researcher. Currently about to celebrate my 49th anniversary to my then handsome Navy Lieutenant husband. We have two grown sons and one grandson. We have spent the last 35 years in all things Victorian. We have restored our 1881 beauty in Alameda Ca. The most exciting thing has happened to me when I discovered my birth family 3 years ago. I was raised Jewish and was told my birth mother was Jewish only to find out I am mostly Irish, part of the Wing family from Mass....Expand for more
, and part MicMac Native from Nova Scotia. I had two brother and one half brother. I met one of my brothers and we became very close only to have him die from alcohol abuse. I discovered most of my family had problems with alcohol which was heart breaking. I met nieces and nephews and attended weddings. I truly became part of my long lost family. What a gift. I also became filled with gratitude for the life I was given and the way I was raised. I truly regard myself as one of the luckiest people in the world.
