Being retired but still active is a good life. Little did I know what challenges life would throw at me. The great thing about all those challenges is the inner strength I found. Leaving behind a pessimistic attitude and learning to look for postive things in life has increased my quality of life so much. My oldest daughter, husband, grandson and recently adopted grandson live nearby allowing me to interact with all of them. My youngest daughter lives in the Florida panhandle with her husband on those beautiful white sandy beaches. They spend playtime on their 34 ft. Cigarette boat. Loads of fun! My middle daughter lives with her two daughters in Massachusetts and works at the Air Force Reserve Base, Wendover. I couldn't be prouder of my daugters. Whenever I get the opportunity to visit them makes me happy. My main squeeze, Mike, and I use his pontoon boat on Lake Norman, ride the Gold Wing and have a place where we camp summer weekends.
