Lola's Story

Life I left Michigan in 1982 and have not lived there since. I miss the snow! I have lived in Idaho, Arizona and finally in Louisiana. I was happily married for 18.5 years but am a widow now. I evacuated from Metairie (suburb of New Orleans) for Katrina. My house was ok but Katrina put me out of business. I have since sold the house and moved. ings. The two careers I have enjoyed the most were teaching science to middle-schoolers and zookeeping. After Katrina I took a job in northern Louisiana as the general curator of a zoo. I am LOVING it. I have my two dogs and three cats to keep me company. The backyard of my new home fronts on a bayou, I can watch the ducks swim as I drink my coffee. I am happy and content.
