Londa's Story

After graduation from Gables I came to Oklahoma and attended Northeastern State University in the small town of Tahlequah...After graduation from NSU I taught school for 12 years,then went to work for the Cherokee Nation working with Native Americans and I was there for 25 years...thought I would retire,but after that my friend ask me to help him in his Doctors office ,so worked there for 5 years and then thought I would retire again and another friend ask me to run there Retirement Living Facility and did that for 2 years...I am totally retired as of 2007...Sometimes ,it is hard because I am a people person and miss all that but still see all my friends from all my jobs, so I am happy.. ere at our Univeristy...He coached Basketball for many years and after his heart attack the Doctor said maybe that was tooo hard a sport for him, so he has been coaching girls tennis for the past 17 years..not sure if that is better...oh well..he is happy...In 1985 we adopted our son,Coleman who just turned 23 this year..He is a senior here at the University...For those of you who did not make it to the 40th 1961 reunion we missed you...we sure had fun...I feel so blessed to have been apart of Gables...I feel that is why I have been successful in my life...I have two brothers that also attended Gables, Steve Hill and Alan Hill..I sure miss the nice weather as it is cold in Oklahoma...Happy New Year and the best to all in 2008...
