Lonnie's Story

Life High Schools attended: Alvin H.S., Alvin, Texas (1978), Clark H.S., Las Vegas, Nevada (78-79), So. Nev. Voc. Tech. Ctr., Las Vegas, Nevada (79-82). Hi Ya'll, That's right, you can take the boy out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of the boy! Well, as you can see by my address, I'm back in my beloved Lone Star State. I had been in Austin, for 18 years and am currently in the Dallas area since last June. When I graduated, I went To Shreveport, Louisiana, where my folks had just moved. I was there for two years. I went to school for a short time at LSU-Shreveport taking mostly design and other creative classes. I worked for a short time as a Layout and Design artist at a printing company in Shreveport. I did that for a year, then my Dad told me about a job with American Airlines. Not what I had been schooled on, but it paid twice as much and would give me flight benefits. I applied. I got the job. Some 26 years later, I am still with American Airlines, where I spent 19 years loading and unloading aircraft with luggage and freight. Not real glamourous, but it paid well. Now I'm a Crew Chief at DFW (Dallas/Ft.Worth) working the International flights. A perk of the job was the chance to travel. I have been overseas many times, as-well-as most of the United States. As for my personal life that's all for debate. I'm sti...Expand for more
ll single, no kids. I've gotten close twice (marriage), but both for naught. So the quest continues. She's out there. I have had a great time as a bachelor, but I'm about done. My interests still include art, photography and being outdoors. I have a nice place on a small lake about 45 minutes from Austin when I get time to relax. The wildlife (including armadillos and roadrunners!) is abundant and is a relaxing diversion. I'm hoping to hear from ya'll from time to time. So, do get in touch. I missed alot of you listed here at the 10 year Reunion. Hope to hear from you soon. Later. Lonnie School School life started in Telferner, TX. 1970-73 at Wood High Elementary. Then onto Wood Cross Elem. in Bountiful, Utah in 1973. On again to Stoker Elem. in Bountiful (1974-76). Junior High was begun at Alvin Jr. High (1976-78). I started my high school years at Alvin High in Alvin, Texas in 1978. I only went to AHS 6 months, but I did have friends who MIGHT remember me from Alvin Jr. High. I attended the rest of my freshman year at Clark High in Las Vegas, Nevada. From there, three years at Southern Nevada Vocational Technical Center in Vegas until graduation in 1982. I went on to take classes after a year off at LSU- Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana (1984-85). Then taking occasional classes at Tarrant County Jr. College in Carrolton, Tx. in 1986-87.
