Lonnie's Story
i attented Lane from 1959 to 1963 i was left back my 1st year i was a lonener and wore the some clothes every day after my main source of support died. (grnmother) i was encourage to stay in school ,inspite of my lost and no support by Mrs Gradstein the student guidance counselor and was able to graduate 6/1963.Applied science was my favorite subj. w/Mr schwartz my best teacher.Mr Berman came close to kicking me out 4 fighting all the ti...Expand for more
me.I remember walking down the 1st flr hallway w/a big smile on my face after being notified that I was going 2 graduate,and at the same time noticing other students who were told they were not.After grad. I joined the Army went to viet-nam, survived,came home in August 1966.3 YRS Later got married, had 3 kids ,joined the N.Y.C.Police did 22 yrs with them ,retired,as a sgt. Divorced and now living the life of riley in West Palm Beach,Fl.
