Lonny's Story
Well... I didn't get to attend graduation. I graduated mid-semester and then left Tucson to join the United States Navy. 20 years later - having made Senior Chief Petty Officer and gotten married along the way I settled down in Pensacola Florida.
Some of you may remember me as "Doc" (never really did quite figure out where that nickname came from).
After I spent 20 years in Uncle Sam's Great Grey Canoe Club as a diesel mechanic, I finally got around to using my GI bill to go to college (which is why I join...Expand for more
ed in the first place) - earning an AA in Computer Information Systems at Pensacola Junior College in '97 and then my BS in Computer Information Systems at the University of West Florida in '01. Since then I have been writing database applications often involving travel to far away places for anywhere from 6 months to 2 years at a time.
At this point I am telecommuting from home again writing insurance rating programs for a national insurance company on a contract basis.
