Lora's Story

I hope they remember me as fun-loving and full of hope. A bit of a wild side but grounded at the same time. Don't have a lot of things that pop out in my mind as "never forget". Have a lot of fun times that come to mind though. Those that I had them with will think of them fondly too, I hope! My first job was at Waffle House, where I got paid next to nothing, literally, to wait tables. What I remember most about it is buying my first car.. I like to think of myself as "aged gracefully". I really don't look that different. Patty Fields. She treated me like I think I treated others, with respect and humour. In 10 years, I hope to be get my first book published. I'm going to get there by working hard . There's nothing in my life I would do over. I am where I am today because of the experiences I've had. Good and Bad. I really don't have any trophies. Just a lot of fond memories that I wouldn't trade for the world. I share my home with son's, which I find exciting and alway's impromptu. The weirdest job I've ever had...I really don't have anything "wierd" to report on. Lot's of exciting stuff but not wierd. My best friend would tell you I'm shy and sensitive, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as stand-offish. I will never forget him... John D. from Anderson, Indiana. Well, I introduced him to his wife! I want to, and am, writing. I started by writing short stories in high school but morphed into a songstress later on. My hope, and current activity, is to write a book. My current age is 41. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be really gross. I was so completely wrong. Remember, I was twelve when I thought this! To be truly happy, I would be living just as I am, doing just what I'm doing with exactly the people I am with. I have exactly what I need in my life right now and it is a great thing. Life on life's term's, right. Just go with it! I only took a couple of courses after high school. Spent a lot of time on campus, though. Rock on! If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to my son's, Samuel and Michael, then spend the rest on family, cha...Expand for more
rity and self. There's two teacher's I'd like to see again. Last time I saw them I was a pot and a half into a starbuck's coma and I'm sure that I didn't make a good impression. Mrs. Richard's, she made me come out of my shell and gave me the confidence to express myself without regret. Mrs. sharkey because she gave me a desire to pursue the passion in my life, music. God, what haven't I learned from them! Unconditional Love, understanding, and lot's of patience. At one point in my life, I thought I couldn't have children and then I was blessed with the two most beautiful son's in the world. They make me a better person and I, hopefully, will do the same for them. My dream home would be 4 bedroom ranch, in the country. There's a couple of thing's that haven't been the way I would have planned them. You would have to be one of my inner circle of friends to find out what they are though. Just know that I wouldn't change a thing. My favorite thing is being with my son's. My friends are pretty important to me, too. When I am alone I like to read and journal. I've been doing a lot of that lately. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Patty and Angela, because they were so important in helping me develope into the person I am today.. I have lived in Indiana, of course, but also in Idaho, Arizona and Ohio. I moved to Idaho for...well, i actually don't know. I just picked someplace and went. Arizona was just following someone I loved there and Ohio was for the same reason. My Son's are my Heroe's. They have the remarkable ability to adapt to any situation and smile while they do it. I find that absolutely amazing. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have God, patience, and ability to adapt to be able to deal with the day-to-day. The wildest thing I ever did in school? Wow, I think I'll take that one to my grave! Journaling is my immediate relaxation. Something physical when I just can't get rid of the stress. I always wanted to be a singer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a pipe dream idea. As it turns out, they were surprised I actually pulled it off!
