Loraine's Story
Greetings,
Everyone has their story and if interested here is a glimpse of mine. If you were to view my life as if it were on video you would find yourself watching a very long movie, but far from boring.:-) Not unlike lives of others there has been comedy, tragedy, and status quo. Those that truly knew me in highschool know that I saw highschool as an annoying necessity that would assist me in my far better, bigger, journey that life offers. After highschool, I attended Eastern Washington University, Western Washington University in pursuit of becoming a nurse practitioner with a minor in cultural anthropology. Some of the odd jobs I held while pursuing my education included a governess, grocery bagger, retail sales, and the all popular disco. on. It was one long summer as I have been employed at Skagit Valley Hospital for thirty three + years. I love what I do and more importantly the people I work with. Where has the time gone? Those years have flown by. Through out those years I had married, have been blessed with my son who I believe to be the finest young man any mother could ask for, lost a marriage to divorce. Add the other life lessons and it has been quite a ride. During my journey I have been a host mom to foreign college students. Being a host mom was a catalyst for my travels. Am a gal who keeps her passport current and ready. I have a wide variety of interests. I enjoy attending the National Geographic Lecture Series when they come to Seattle, watching college football, more importantly spending time with my family and friends. My son is currently living the dream, out on his own, working two jobs, saving money for education and the like. What next? I am looking forward to what life has to offer.
