Lorene's Story
After graduation in 1971 went to Florida on a surf trip. Got married to Bob DuCharme, surfer from San Diego. He nicknamed me Lori, so I go by that now - at least in San Diego. Have two sons, Chris and Bobby. We lived in VA beach for 7 years, then moved to San Diego in 1980. Bob died in 2010. Became a born-again Christian in 1982 and my life changed for the better, and just gets better all the time PTL! Graduated from Mesa College in 1988 in Technical Writing and worked at Unisys for 14 years, then became software test engineer and worked for Cubic 16 years. Left Cubic and went to work for Qualcomm as Technical Writer then promoted to a Business Systems Analyst. Retired in 2018. Youngest son, Bobby, broke his neck surfing 1999 and is paralyzed. r paralyzed individuals cantkeepmedown.org. Bobby is also very gifted with creating surf films and has premiered 10 of them over the years. Some of his movies are on YouTube - check them out. I've written several books that are available on Amazon. My latest one is "Which Way?" published yesterday (11/30/2020) . It includes many true stories of things that I went through growing up on Patrician Drive in Hampton. God Bless you all and I pray that the Lord will keep you safe, healthy, happy, and loved!
