Lorene's Story
I married Ted right after graduation, as I had already graduated from beauty school I went to work in Hollywood doing mostly make-up it was alot of fun, Ted worked as a clean room teck, one of the first, he was able to discover what was wrong with break systems on Helicopters in Viet Nam, Because of that he was leased out to Boeing In Seattle to train others. So off we went I truly loved it, the trees and all the green, and yes it takes alot of water to keep Gods garden green LOL, Eventually we had to move back to Calif. My son was born in 1966, then in 1968 a daughter and a second daughter in 1973, While in Calif. I finally did what my heart wanted and I owned showed horses, Ted rode so did our Kids We both held Calif. state Championships. Then the big layoff...Expand for more
came and Ted was unemployed but Boeing wanted him back. So we packed up sold the house unfortunatly the horses moved with three dogs two cats a bird and a snake to Wash., where we have been ever since, we then raised kids three foster sons and adopted to girls. All grown know, so we rented out our home when Ted retired from Boeing moved to our eighteen acres in the woods got horses agin, got goats to eat brush and berrys a couple of dogs and a couple of cats and we are living the good life as we know it. I always wanted to be a cowgirl when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a wierd idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
