Lori's Story
Life
I was a caregiver for my elderly mother in National City, CA. She passed and I now live in Utah again near my kids and grandkids.
I am writing an environmental fantasy mermaid novel for the young adult age group. I hope to publish my work soon.
Travel:
I've been on a trip March, 2005 to Baja Whale Adventure where I got to swim with wild dolphins and whales. July, 2007, I also went on a 3 week trip to the big Island of Hawaii. I toured the whole island, snorkeling and free diving nearly every day. I found a wreck in Mahukona where I freedove to the propeller shaft many times to watch the variety of fish play in the coral growing on it. I swam with giant mantas, dolphins and sea turtles. My Kids:
I have 3 boys and one girl. My oldest boy lives with his wife in Boise, ID. My next son is, married to a wonderful woman, has 2 boys and a girl and lives in Denver, CO. My daughter is a recent widow. She has a 15 year old boy, 3 year boy and a 6 month old girl and lives in Logan, UT. She is planning to go to school to become a kindergarten teacher. My youngest son is going to college and lives nearby in Salt Lake City, Utah.
My Pets:
One of my cats is a male long-haired black tabby with green eyes like me. His name is Jumpin' Jack Flash (Flash for short), because he is so fast and jumps so high, even after a broken hip. He is aloof. My other kitty is a red Ocicat with green eyes too, named Sweetie because she is soooo cuddly.
