Lori's Story

Life I am still a bit wild and love adventure but in a different way now.....I live in San Diego, Ca. and work in radio as an account executive/sales.. Travel is my passion....the more exotic or off the beaten path the better. Last year I traveled to the Gobi Desert in Mongolia and then to Tibet. The year before that it was Thailand and Cambodia....this year India. Next year who knows.....but I'd like to become more involved with a type of volunteer/working vacation overseas. I love animals and usually incorporate them into my trips somehow....in India it was tiger tracking, in Thailand riding and bathing with elephants. I am very concerned about the enviroment and t...Expand for more
he status and treatment of endangered speciesand would eventually like to move into a field pertaining to that. My dream job would have been a vet in Africa....but math and chemistry were never my points of strength. I settle for travelling to these places and having sincere and close contact with the locals. I traveled to Borneo about 5 years ago to see the wild Orangutans...sleeping on the back of a small boat at night in the jungle.and interacting with young Orangutans during the day. Does life get any better than that? Not for me! Those are my best and most precious moments and I am grateful to have had ....and hope to continue to have these types of experiences.
