Lori's Story
Since high school, I have worked in only three companies. My first was a job through the work program through school which I continued after graduation until I moved to DC in 1980 to be with my high school sweetheart in the Marine Corp. My second was a govt job as a secretary which led me to the career I now have with EDS in which I have obtained various positions for the past 28 years.
My high school sweetheart, for any of you that really know me (which isn't very many) was someone from the west side of town whom I have now been married to for 29 years, his name is David McGinness. We have two kids, my daughter Heather is now 27 and my son Sean is 24. Heather is married with one child. emature so he was only 2 pounds and 12 inches. He spent 3 months in the NICU but he is now walking and jabbering and he is 22 pounds of pure energy. I call him my frog cause he looked like a tadpole when he was born but the nickname has stuck. I sing little songs to him that he has come to expect (frogman frogman, mimi's little frogman). Just silly stuff but it amuses him and I live to amuse him :)
My son, Sean is doing very well, he is the first and only in our family to graduate college. He graduated Business Adm from Old Dominion University in Norfolk. Fifteen minutes from beach, touch gig huh? He met his lovely girlfriend in college (also named Heather), she graduated last year and they are now living in a small apartment off the beach.
I'm obviously proud of my family and when I'm not working which is too much of the time, I'm spending time with them.
