Lori's Story
Lori (Holland) Maxey
I graduated Sunny Hills HS 1979.
I have two sons, 25 years (Ryan) and 19 years (Michael). Ryan graduated Colorado University, is now Captain in the Army; and he will go to Afghanistan end of 2008. He will marry before he leaves. Michael graduated Fullerton HS and now attends Fullerton College.
Life changes. 2007 brought positive changes to my life. I spent two years looking my career job and spent the last five years in a non committed marriage. I married in 1987 and divorced in 2007. WOW! 2007, I found that career job and divorced my husband. He is a great man and my best friend. However, we chose different paths for our life.
I own one german sheppard dog and one black and white cat (go figure). I live in Fullerton with my 19 year old son.
One month after high school graduation, I fell into life threatening grand maul seizures that kept me in the hospital 5+ days. The day I was rushed to emergency, I continued to have seizures for 3+ hours and did not wake up until 5+ days later. I am a mi...Expand for more
racle because I did not suffer brain damage or any other physical disability other than I have epilepsy and continued to have seizures for the next 20 years. My last seizure being December 1999. I am medicated as I will continue to have seizures if I do not take medication. I have a great appreciation for life and people.
My mother's name is Judy, she retired age 57 as captain from LA county sherrif and travels with her husband in their 40ft motor home, I could only hope to retire at 57. My brother name is Keith (he has two kids), my sister name is Tamara(she has three kids).
My teenage years, I lived in Buena Park. My hang out places were Casitas, Bellhurst, Huntington beach. I had many good friends at McComber Jr High, and Sunny Hills HS. I like to keep in touch with friends just to know they are being treating right by life. The '70's were very special years for me and I will cherish the years always. I believe radical changes (most good) came about in the 80's to now. The 70's will always be the best part of my life.
