Lori's Story

Life I got married in May and graduated in June. After graduation, I went to work keeping 2 little girls for a year and then worked part time at 2 day care centers. I quit 2 weeks before my son, Bryan, was born. I started keeping children in my home so that I could stay home with my son. When he started school, I got divorced (he was a drug addict) and went to work part time at Winn Dixie. On November 7th, 1990, I went out on my first and only blind date and married Dale six weeks later on Dec. 23, 1990. He adopted Bryan and my life started over. He's a wonderful man and we'll be celebrating our 14th anniversary this month. Bryan graduated from high school in 2002 and will graduate from College this month. He plans to be a firefighter. I've been working for Snapping Shoals for two and a half years now and am much happier than I was at Winn D...Expand for more
ixie. I really enjoy spending time with my family and my newest hobby is scrapbooking. It brings back so many memories looking at all of the pictures I have. I still have some that I took from high school. My biggest challenge right now is dealing with the fact that my only child will be going in to burning buildings. I'm relying on my faith in God to get me through this. Workplace After graduation, I kept two little girls for a year and then worked part time at two different Day Care Centers until 2 weeks before my son was born. I kept children in my home until Bryan started school. I then worked at Winn Dixie and kept children after school. I finally went full time at Winn Dixie and worked there for 12 1/2 years. In July of 2002, I started working at Snapping Shoals as a cashier and was promoted to Customer Service Rep in March of 2004.
