Lori's Story
Life
In high school, I really didn't have much dreams other than to leave home and get out of the heat. In my senior year I met Michael on "Bookland" corner and we married 8 months after graduation. He joined the Army and we spent 6 years in places that snowed and that was great. We spend two years in Colorado Springs where our first son was born. Then three years in Manheim, West Germany where our 2nd son was born. Ended the service at Fort Knox, KY where we spend the coldest winter they had in 40 years. Came back to ...Expand for more
P.S. and couldn't handle the heat so we moved to San Diego County and I have been here ever since 1983. My mom and sister still live in P.S. so I visit a few times a year and boy has it changed. My sons were out of high school and almost out of the house when son number 3 gave me a real surprise. Who would have though it. He is a joy. Sons 1 and 2 finished with BA's in History and Geography at San Diego State. Son #3 is a teen-ager now. I have 2 grandkids and I work as a special ed aide at a local elementary school.
