Life
Hello to all, My name is Lori Underwood (Walters) I attended NHS and Northeast Jr. High
Was married in 85 and moved to Wichita, ks. I know have two children ages 17 and 21.
My daughter Alyssa is a sr. at Wichita North High and is a star volleyball and basketball player (unlike her mother) and my son Paul is a sr. at Wichita State University where he is working on a Bussiness degree headed for a Masters in sports business (again not like his mother). Paul was my only link to high school, singing in the concert choir and Madrigals, watching him brought back great choir memories for me, and then we would hit the football field, odd combonation of things to do but he did and did it well. We live eat and breath sports at our house as you can see. My parents still live in Northglenn, actually Westminister, they jumped the highway after all the kids were out and moved to the Ranch. Nice they did this after we were all out of the house. I work at an Elementary school full time as a records clerk and part time hobby with a local florist ,, guess you could say that is the extent of my schooling, never stepped foot in a college classroom, I live with 350 kdg-5th grade students on daily basis and stand in the floral cooler just for fun. My Husband, Tom, is and insurance agent with Farmers after many years in the computer world and 2 unexpected lay offs, so on to something new we decided. So far so good. am looking for you!! class of 1980 especially choir and Northern Lights people. I have loaned my year books to Jim Brozovich who oddly enough lives in Conway Spring Ks these days, but having a hard time retreiving them from him do to a move and work schedules. After you have moved out of state and married someone that was not your High School sweetheart, you really lose touch with your high school past. Considering the size of our class, it would be hard to keep up with anybody unless you lived right across the street from each other. Imagine my suprise while working at JC Penney and seeing a class mate come down the isle, it makes you wonder where the heck your at,, or I'm dreaming or something. That's how I ran into Jim after last seeing him at graduation parties and then 7 years later running into him in Wichita ks?! strange. So finally pulled up the NHS web page (my kids High school NHS, all so strange) and got to reading Alumni messages,, WOW blast from the past,,and also feeling like I've missed so many of you in all the moves that we have made.. So the big questions? will there be a reunion in 2010 , will any of us be around to go to it?, where is everyone at? would love to hear from any and all of you. Update 5-02-08,, My Husband, Tom passed away unexpectedly this past March (heart attach) How life can give you a curve ball just when you think you know what your doing.
