Lori's Story
Life
For anyone who might be interested, I'm still in Bernice, Ok. I've lived here, and married to Dale Frost, for 28 years. We have three children, Cody, age 26, Mindy, age 24, and Rene', age 22. We also have 2 grandaughters, Dalyn and Lani, ages 3 and 1.
Cody and Mindy are both married. The grandaughters belong to Cody and our daughter-in-law, April. Cody has worked at Lungren Chevrolet in Grove since high school, April is a stay at home mom taking on line classes, Mindy is married to Zach Gardner, who is a school teacher and coach at Miami Schools. Mindy will graduate this May from Missouri Southern. Rene' will graduate in December from Southern,also.
Dale has worked at OTA(oklahoma turnpike authority) for about 10 years. Before that, the coal mines from south of Welch to the ones near Claremore and Tulsa.
For the last 4 years I've worked at Craig General Hospital in Vinita. I worked in admissions. I truly enjoyed my job but working week ends and holidays was getting old. I've previously left there and now work in Grove for an audiologist.
Music and Nascar are two of out favorite past times. Cody plays with 2 bluegrass groups. He will be playing at SDC this year the first week of June with his group Co...Expand for more
mmon Tyme. (if you're interested, you can log on to commontyme.net to read more about). Rene'loves to sing and does most of her singing at our home church. Dale plays banjo and sings also. I still play piano and sometimes the upright bass. Dale and Cody played at SDC for 5 years with another bluegrass gospel group called The Lively Stones. The group had to retire due to health reasons in their family. Mindy's not too much on being in front of groups of people so I always said she was our critic. Which she was ! Now we add April, Dalyn, and Lani to the critics corner ! Dalyn has been known to get up on stage, depending on where they are performing, of course, and do her Old Mcdonald and Jesus Loves me solo's ! And if she doesn't come through on the mike, she'll stop during her performance and tell her daddy it's not working right.
Another past time is car shows. We have a 1970 dodge dart swinger. Our plans are to restore the whole car and hopefully be in some shows in the future. We really regret selling our '67 chevelle SS. That's the fav !
I'm not sure on what to write about, but thought this would be a fun way to maybe hear from some of my old friends.
