Lorie's Story
Life
After spending 11 years in engineering, I decided to follow my heart and become a teacher. (My dad must have been rolling over in his grave to know that I made that change after spending so much time getting my MS in engineering.) I taught 5th grade for 8 years and totally loved it. I am currently on leave from teaching as I had two absolutely beautiful babies (boy/girl twins) in November of 2007 - yes, a new mom at the age of 42!!! truly understood the concept of unconditional love until they made their appearance. :-) I also never knew you could worry so much about a living creature. They both had some health issues their first month or so of life, but they're very healthy now. They are so totally different from each other - in looks and personality. They are a delight and a joy and I cherish every day I'm home with them. I am truly happier than I've ever been before - I haev an awesome husband and two beautiful children.
