Lorin's Story
Life
In high school, I was in a number of clubs and activities.
That pattern persists:
I work full time, as a lawyer/librarian at a law school.
But, as if that wasn't enough, I am also pursuing a PhD in Religion, at Claremont Graduate University, contributing regularly to Sacred History Magazine and Orange County Lawyer Magazine, and, in what limited free time I have, play the harp, do artwork, and go off-road bicycling.
I am married. My wife owns a gothic/industrial store, Ipso Facto, and is in a band, and so, we are frequent presences on the LA/OC goth club scene. We live in a house ...Expand for more
built in 1914, in north Orange County, California.
In April of 2007, returning from a promotional trip to London for one of my publisher, I became sick, with what I thought was the flu. I eventually found out that it was spinal meningitis.
I survived, but, unfortunately, my hearing, and my ability to balance, did not. I've since received a cochlear implant which has restored some, but not all, of my hearing.
In sunnier news, I am just about to complete a Master's degree (towards the PhD), and am negotiating with the powers that be at my university to teach a class on "Law and Religion".
