Lorna's Story
Life
In 1965, I married Larry Collins AHS class of 1962. We have one daughter, Kimberly who now lives in Texas.
I worked in Document Control for many years, including our three-year adventure in Osaka, Japan working on the Universal Studios Japan theme park project. Larry & I wrote a book on the Japanese experience called "31 Months in Japan: The Building of a Theme Park" published in 2005. We have since written two mysteries together, "Murder... They Wrote" and "Murder in Paradise." In 2014 we completed our historical hovel, "The Memory Keeper" after over two years of research. It is set in San Juan Capistrano in the 1800s.
I have also co-written six romance anthologies with friends Sherry Derr-Wille, Luanna Rugh, Cheryl Gardarian, and Christie Shary: "Snowflake Secrets," "Seasons of Love," "Directions of ...Expand for more
Love," "The Art of Love,""...And a Silver Sixpence in Her Shoe," and "An Aspen Grove Christmas."
My fantasy/mystery/romance novel "Ghost Writer" was published in the summer of 2012,
All of our books are available on Amazon as well as other online locations, including our website.
I became a Document Controller, IT Change Manager, and then worked for a couple of years as a Technical Writer. Larry and I are now both retired and still writing. I'm working on the next historical novel and another mystery. I still do professional editing for a couple of publishers as well as independently..
In the last couple of years, I've reconnected with lots of old AHS friends on Facebook and have actually gotten together with some of them preparing for our 50th reunion in September 2014. What a thrill to see everyone again!
