Lorraine (Lori)'s Story
Life
Trained as a nurse in Ontario, married Robert Messer in 1973 and moved to BC in 1976. Lived in northern BC for ten years in Topley Landing on Babine Lake. Moved to Sooke in 1986. Have two grown daughters. Very active in the community as a volunteer and in arts community as a basketmaker. Avid gardener.

luding the BC Cancer Agency and Canuck Place Children's Hospice. President of Canadian Cancer Society BC & Yukon and Vice President of Provincial Hospital Appeal Board. Currently Community School Coordinator at Edward Milne Community School in Sooke and CommunityLINK Coordinator for School District 62. Current propjects include Sooke CASA - a social and health services cooperative serving children, youth and families and Pulling Together - a wraparound process for youth involved in the justice system.
