Lorraine's Story
Wow, this is a small space for almost 60 years of info!! So first as career information I have been very fortunate go have had a wonderful career as an Area Manager in the Staffing Industry. Since the death of my husband in 2008, I have stepped down and am just going back to work full time. I now work as a Concierge for a very high end retirement community in Bloomington Illinois. I have been in Illinois since 1998, moving here from Jackson Michigan. I followed my oldest son's family here when he was transferred to Corporate at State Farm Insurance Headquarters here in Bloomington Illinois. My youngest son followed the following year, so we all live here now. I have my two sons, their families. I have three grandchildren.
I love to travel and over the last 20 years I have been to Thailand, Portugal, Spain, England, Bahamas, and Hawaii. This year 200...Expand for more
9, I went to Cosumel and Grand Cayman with my sister on a cruise. I would like to go to Japan and Ireland before I can't put one foot ahead of the other. The rest of the traveling I would like to make is in the US. I go to my sister's in Florida as often as I can each year. I may move there in the next few years when I get closer to retirement. My very favorite vacation is camping either in Door County Wisconsin or Ludington MI.
To relax I like to walk in a park or woods. My most common form of relaxation is reading.
My hero is and always will be my father. He was a wonder creative man. He was a dedicated father, husband and employee. He was a wonderful woodworker, his occupation was a journey man Tool and die maker, old school way and was very talented. His attention to detail and dedication to everything he did has been an inspiration to me all my life.
