Lorraine Welsh:  

I got married at age 18 to my x-hub, Charlie. We had 2 beautiful children, Paula and Jeff. Jeff works in the Aerospace Ind. and has 2 children, Julia and Jakob. He is living alone now, and has half custody of his children. I got divorced at at 39 and was dating for 2 yrs. before I met the love of my life. We met in a bar, and when I heard his English accent, I instantly fell in love. We dated for 2 yrs. and got married 23 yrs. ago. We have fun going on cruises every year. I worked for about 20 yrs. when my health made me disabled. One of my several jobs was a make-up artist. I also worked for Waring Products in the computer room, and at Aetna as a key punch operator. I worked for Timex for a while, and then The Hartford, as a secretary for 4 Analysts and a Portfolio Manager. I am a member of the Torrington Woman's Club, Inc. GFWC. I am currently the treasurer, soon to be the recording Secretary. I volunteer by tutoring in reading and grammar for elementary school children. My specialty is Dyslexia, and I have 1 adult who I helped get her GED,. She is also dyslexic. I also drive Senior Citizens (who me?) to and from the Cancer Center, and to their appointments. I go to a lot of functions for the Club and have a lot of Conventions. I am going to the New England GFWC Convention in Maine in Sept. In Oct,. we are going on a cruise to Bermuda with my sister and her husband. This will be our 17th cruise. We have been to the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Mexico, the Panama Canal, Hawaii, and numerous other islands and countries. I also dabble in acrylic painting and some gardening.
