Louis's Story
After high school I spent a couple of years at UT Knoxville and UT Nashville trying to decide what to do with my life. Somewhere along the line I got a summer job at the Exxon marketing terminal in Nashville cutting the grass. Turns out that was the beginning of a 31 year career with Exxon.
In 1982, after working five years in Nashville, I transferred to Exxon's Baton Rouge Refinery / Chemical Complex. I've held quite a few positions since arriving in Baton Rouge, but have enjoyed none better than my current assignment as the Site Security and Emergency Preparedness Advisor.

a Louisiana girl, Sue Adams. We have a mixed family of his-hers-our children, totaling five. One boy (Rusty) and four girls (Megan, Stefanie, Lauren & Lindsey). A few years ago the oldest daughter blessed us with our first grandchild (Kailyn) and I must admit, everything they say about grandchildren is true.
It took a long time to develop, but I truly love living in Louisiana. There is no better place for food in the world and the roads are the worse in America!
As I approach retirement, I've often thought about where I will go. I think as long as my children remain here...I will too....
